With specs like that certainly it is. I'm waiting for a new APU to come out that upgrades on the 8700g, so I can use it for for casual gaming and then use a oculink dock egou set up for AAA games.

Encroaching but not quite there due to power limits. Their FAQ says dual CCD CPUs are limited to 100 watts. That would get you 90-95% the performance of the 7950X (basing that estimate on the 105 watt ECO mode benchmarks when the CPU was released). Not quite sure with the 9950 but it's IIRC more efficient. All that is IF the cooling is sufficient to maintain 100 watts without thermal throttling. Can't know that by just seeing it on paper.
