I've wanted to pull the trigger on this piece several times but the coloring of the hands compared to the markers keeps me away.

Now that you mentioned it, it bothers me as well

I can confirm it is FAR less noticeable in person. The hour markers aren't nearly as dark and the hands aren't nearly as light. They are both very similar to each other and almost meet somewhere in the middle. Happy to post a pic if anyone is interested, but really, almost ALL other stock images of this "glow" color scheme do it more justice if you google it.

Agreed on all fronts. WatchMaxx seems to do a poor job capturing colors well with their photos.

Admittedly I haven't seen in person but here:

Is enough to make me pass. Just can't unsee the difference that doesn't need to exist. If it was just a lume difference in the dark I would agree, especially at this price point.

A true dive watch should have at the minimum, a depth gauge.
Otherwise, it's just a watch with a rotating bezel, big deal or in this case, not really a big deal

Why not spend a little more and get a dive watch with serious cred (and will hold value better than any Oris) https://youtu.be/vIzE8HU_un4

Or get the Seiko SPB for less https://youtu.be/vIzE8HU_un4

Yep, stopped mid signing of the loan when I considered the wisdom of your fashion assessment.

Nice watch. Would pull the trigger if this actually had 200 m divers on the dial even though it doesn't matter IRL.

If Seiko and Citizen can certify $500 divers, the Swiss have no excuse.

I have the version of this watch with the "heritage dial" they released several years earlier. The bracelet is one of the most comfortable I own. Tapers from 20 down to 14!
