no one wants this junk, read up on the trashy screen they are using and how blurry it becomes.
The screen looks fine to me. It's no Steam Deck OLED, but it's a pretty good screen IMO. I also paid more for the Steam Deck, but Apple to Oranges. Personally, I love my Switch 2 and haven't put it down since I got it a few weeks ago.
I own Switch 2 and yeah it's collecting dust. I tried to play Triangle Strategy on Portable Mode. I was hoping it would display in 1080p docked mode when playing on switch 2 portable (since the screen is 1080p)...nope.. they just stretch 720p to 1080p (so ugly and fuzzy).... Just hope swtich 2 will patch this up. This is something they can do w/o having the game company do the patches.

…how's a console released this month already collecting dust?

I saw one display at BestBuy. I bet, whoever was setting up the demo stand, removed the OLED NS1 from there on purpose because the screen indeed looks like just a bigger version of a LCD NS1. Normally, they had all three previous gen switches - LCD, OLED, and Lite (there is more than enough room to showcase every handheld Nintendo makes). However, if they had an OLED NS1 next to NS2, it would have absolutely stomped it due to a better screen, albeit slightly smaller.
Usually it takes some passage of time past release to even begin accumulating dust. Of course a brand new console at release isn't going to be providing months worth of entertainment.
Serious question… why would anyone buy this when it's all but guaranteed an OLED version will come out later and it doesn't even have many games yet?
I guess some people just like being first, but I'd rather wait for OLED.
Because we'd rather play better versions of switch games, new switch 2 games and more in mid 2025 rather than late 2027/2028. Plus some people like myself play docked 90% of the time

Not as Switch 1 so don't say it equal.
Too many well informed switch 1 owners don't see the value of getting switch 2. It has compromises unlike Switch1.
The switch 1 has sold extremely well since launch and it fair to assume the majority has one. This isn't slickdeal anyways and everyone knows it

I have money to burn and rather play Mario kart world now then wait another 6 years or however long til they release oled.
