The reference model that never released was supposed to be 600. AMD made a deal with partners to release their bottom end card for that same 600 at launch. This card has an enhanced cooler and rgb so will always cost more. Sad that mid tier cards like this are at this price. When i got into pc gaming in 2013ish a top tier card was like 300. Crazy...

I added one to cart and proceeded to checkout screen, backed out to cart again and New Egg offered a 15$ gift card. Would make this $685 🔥

Not really a deal, since it is just MRSP, but upvoted as it been out of stock and it is able to ship unlike Microcenter.

The MSRP for the 9070 XT is supposed to be $600. But seems most set the price baseline at $700 now.

AMD says $600 but everyone else said naaa, its $700, and people still buy them so $700 is the new baseline.

At this point I think it is all about demand vs supply.

If you're gonna spend $700 then spend the extra $150- 200 and just get the 5070 ti. The price difference just isn't worth it for those who are buying in this range. If it was 600 for a 9070 xt vs 900 for a 5070 ti then maybe...maybe...the 9070 xt would make sense on value.

Some have noted that the absolute base cost appears to be $600 + 10% Tariff = $660, but as noted, very few are making the absolute base cards anymore since they have almost no margin at that price. If you add $30-40 to that base model (typical for a modest OC/non reference spec) that takes you to $700 with the 10% Tariff. None of this changes the fact that $700 is too much for an upper mid tier card, but due to first Crypto, now AI, you are competing with consumers who are using these assets to make money, which means their value is inherently higher.

Well being hardly any msrp cards available your comment makes zero sense. Actually amazing deal and great card.

MSRP is only base model cards. They modify the card with better components post production. Why soo many price differences even when cards not marked up.

Got a nvida fan boy probably straight from CPU benchmarks. 9070 beats 5070 ti in many games. 9070 xt slaughters it in many games. Ive tested both and game dependant. I build new computers all the time. I'm still using a 6900xt. It still overkill.

Got this from micro center 1.5 months ago. No regrets, other than spending this much on anything which is just a hobby but... what ya gonna do, its cheaper than therapy?
