Sigh..... there's always gotta be the guy throwing monkey wrenches.Samsung primary manufactures OLED screens for smartphones, tablets, laptops and monitors.Yes, the do manufacturer their own QD-OLED panels for some of their TVs but buy WOLED panels from LG!!!!.as stated LG has cornered the OLED panel market.

From what i remember, costco warranty does not cover burn in.

It's actually not "costco warranty" - it's outsourced through Allstate.

Quote from fixindan :
I see you're looking at a display C4 and a 77" one at that. Store displays are typically under heavy usage, but then again LG OLED panels are rated for 100,000 hours which is pretty ridiculous, plus Costco has good warranty. I would assume these display models are typically playing some sort of screen saver to avoid burn-ins, so I'd go with the store display if it's not too beat up physically.

Amazon has a deal on this TV bundled with a crappy soundbar, hdmi cables and an "extended protection" plan for $900. Not sure if that extra crap is worth $100, but I dunno.

You're not going to find a 65" C4 at this price unless it's one of those hard to find in-store clearance.
The B4 was this price for 1 day.

Holy Shiite !!!! The trolls are out today.I edited my comment. The OLED screens that Samsung manufactures for smartphones, tablets, laptops and monitors.... ARE MOLED.The QD-OLED are for their TVS !!!
Samsung produces QD-OLED Panels.Take and hold the MASSIVE L that you rightfully earned. You bleated out abject nonsense. QD-OLED is manufactured by SAMSUNG and is used in many popular models such as the A95K SONY. You're now trying to save face by conflating RGB OLED with pentile displays. Stop. You were wrong. LG makes WOLED. Samsung makes QD-OLED. You need to stop posting until you learn to read. It's embarrassing. The SONY A95K, just as one example (Also Bravia 7 II) use SAMSUNG QD-OLED panels that have NOTHING to do with LG. The only person "trolling" is you, continuously spewing misinformation and unable to accept your rightfully-earned loss.

Literally none of this is required to look at Rtings guide that says QD-OLED and look up who makes QD-OLED. Hint: it's not LG.Failed appeal to authority logical fallacy, notwithstanding.

So tempting, but I the jump in brightness with the G4 or C5 series is so significant. They actually seem usable in a bright room. I feel like in 1 year you can get those C5 for current C4 prices (~$1000).

Anyone who can comment on the B4 or this OLED on how they are in bright (not direct sunlight on TV, but a room with blinds that don't fully block sunshine)?
Underrated comment in regards to C5/G4 deals if that's what you want. Obviously it's going to be very hard to find a C in the $800 range (forget G and I don't want to hear again about that limed G3 deal that was not available everywhere and I checked right away from mid Atlantic) but if we are talking $1000 who knows maybe you find a C for that at Sams or something. Also who knows what the consumer electronics and economic situ will be like in the next year so there could always be a glut of stock (seems this is becoming less common).

That said I closely examined the 77 and 83 B4 at Costco and thought it was plenty bright under the extreme florescent lights in the warehouse so I assume it (and this) would be fine in most residential applications which are considerably more subdued, or for people who have effective blinds and no lamps on directly behind their seating. However some people really want brighter or think they need it so sure get a C5 or G4 if that describes you/your use case for daytime viewing. I had a plasma in my living room for the longest time in all of it's 140 nit fury and it did fine with blinds and light control. I don't watch much daytime TV though other than some football. Usually busy on weekend days. An OLED like this is more than fine IMO if you are doing most of your watching at night and turn off that annoying lamp behind you.

Then again how many of us need a new TV right now vs those that are kicking the tires and considering an upgrade. If you are just planning for a future upgrade then it makes sense to wait for at least a C5, except if you need DTS pass through. I use a receiver and will probably keep using an external streamer in the future so that is a lesser concern (most apps output DD or Atmos anyway). Some may want an ATSC 3.0 tuner too. So there are a couple of features that you may wish to have and that can/should influence what you get.

Can you side-load android apps onto the FireTV OS this TV has? That was the primary draw for me on the Sony TVs being base Android TV, and I really do not want to use a TV without the SmartTube (ad-free Youtube) app.

Just buy a Google TV streamer or Onn with Google TV
