The devs of Black Mesa, Crowbar Collective, are launching a new 4-player coop shooter called Rogue Point this year. It looks pretty cool, and there's a demo out now. If you liked Black Mesa, I'm sure they would appreciate folks wishlisting Rogue Point to get more eyeballs on it.

Awesome game! If you've never played it before you should and at this "crazy" price why not? It's well worth it.

Yes! There are some levels in the game that where changed (for the better). So a lot of the game will bring back old memories from the original HL1. But with far better graphics and game play. If you were a fan of the HL series of games, you are going to enjoy this stroll through memory lane.

This price is so tempting. I am already overwhelmed with shooters and unless this has updated mechanics I am not sure how appealing it would be to me. Is it faithful to half-life 1 with a graphical overhaul?
I think this is the best way to play HL1. It's basically a 1:1 remaster (other than late game Xen) and so well done that Valve gave them approval to sell it, it was initially a free fan made "mod". It's still an excellent game and HL1 mechs are still top notch for responsiveness.

Good amount of gameplay for $2 as well:

I tell my kids this all the time. they give me crap for playing inverted but I swear that's just how it was back then. anyway, good news for you, you can go into steams controller setting and just manually change to invert right thumb stick y axis there, and it will override any in game settings- no matter what kind of controller you're using.
It's not that easy, right stick shows ups as mouse control for this game. I couldn't get to invert last night. I might ask for a refund actually.

It's very much better, imo. Better graphics, better gameplay, longer story. It also explains why the Vortigaunt were hostile in HL1 and friendly in HL2. This is what HL1 should have been.

No invert for controllers Frown. Funny thing, I believe at the time of the first Half-Life game "Inverse" was just the norm and how games came. Either way in 2025, not good to not have this option IMO. I am sure there is a mod, but was shocked when I bought a while back.

Really? that's crazy for such a simple setting to implement.

My brain is still stuck on "inverted" mode since I played tons of flight sims and FPS games growing up.

Thanks, it's not so much bang for your buck, it's an internal struggle as to whether it offers enough to beat out the dozen or so fps shooters I really should make time for.
