Maybe I'm not classy enough to appreciate it, but that looks like left over wood put together by an adult building their first LEGO set.

Ha! Well, fundamentally a trestle desk is just a board placed over two trestles. So I can see where you're coming from. Though this is a fancy trestle desk - I think it looks quite good for the price. Walmart's sale price is the lowest I've found.

The desk looks pretty inoffensive to me. It's just a simple modern neutral design that could blend in anywhere and has ample space and storage. Surprised anyone had such a strong reaction to it. In for 1.
