This is the way. I don't feel bad for wasting the packer, delivery driver, and UPS employee's time when this is how Amazon chooses to handle price adjustments within the return window.

I tried to do return and gave the reason that it's priced lower now. The automated system gave me a full refund without returning the order.

I would first attempt to contact customer service via chat or email. when getting turned down, then resort to this strategy of buying at the new price and returning the higher price.

It's definitely lighter but still serviceable. I use it for all my shipping needs from eBay and FB Marketplace. Generally seal at least 2-3 times per box side though.

I tried this just now, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I went as far as the screen where you select the preferred return method.

Compared this tape to the 3M version.

3M is a thicker tape with good adhesion. Also easier scrape back up off the roll when the end slips off the dispenser.

Amazon tape is thinner but significantly tackier of the two. Because it's a thinner tape and so tacky, it will shred when peeling it back off the roll. Safest thing to do is put a tail on the end after applying the tape. Advice I don't always follow but I know I should.
