This is a super low end X1P. Slower than a 5 year old i5 from Intel.

Why would one pay for this underpowered crap with 1080p screen, in 2025 nonetheless?

Samsung is Korean. Their electronics mostly focus on pushing latest trends and aren't exactly reliable imo.

this is the crappy version of the laptop. The 15" version has a slower chip and the crapy screen.

They've had the 14 and 16" version with the much better processor and OLED screen for around this price a few times since launch. This laptop series is going on a year old; $500 is the ceiling for a year old snapdragon pc.

If you dont need a laptop right away i'd waight for the Book5 pro to drop to this price (uses intel not snapdragon) or find a good deal on a macbook air M2 or newer for $600-$700 (min 16gb ram). If you dont need windows.

Where ever it made is just a trash talk. Check quality by material and made.

Who cares how energy efficient it is if it's slow.

Depends how slow, if I don't notice I don't care how fast it is in some synthetic benchmark. If one wants to browse the web, watch videos, do some office work I am pretty sure this CPU is plenty fast enough. What a typical such person cares way more about is how long the battery lasts

I haven't really seen the good versions on a good deal in over 6 months, actually I guess since the release of this "crappy" version.

Get a laptop with better X1P or Core Ultra 2 then. This isn't a slickdeal period.

lol, core ultra 2 is painfully slow, compare the numbers to M4 and you will cry…
