All you need is lowest tier core ultra 5 226v to beat this cpu. Those laptops go for $500. You obviously don't know much about technology so why pretend?

226v is 17 tdp. This x1p-26 is 25 watts TDP. Stop embarrassing yourself.

Why are you comparing it to M1. You get great hardware on every Mac and have to deal with the mess that is MacOS....

I want an OS where simple things like mouse acceleration or clicking on the time and date and having it show the calendar are not taken for granted.

Paying Apple $1500 for an M4 laptop makes me cry. To say an Intel 256V is "painfully slow" immediately tells people who have one that you're FoS.
I'll take my $453 Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition with 256V and one of the best displays (better than MacBook Air) any day.

Definitely an odd hardware/price combo given their S10 Ultra with slightly smaller screen but higher res, touchscreen, better proc, etc. is ~$100 more. Granted, it doesn't run windows but I feel like arm procs still aren't their for windows yet anyway.

Yeah, can't argue with people who seem to be narrowminded and unlimited budgets. I like a bit 16" laptop with 4TB and 32GB of RAM. How much does Apple charge for that? Yeah. And limited ports, software, etch.

this is the crappy version of the laptop. The 15" version has a slower chip and the crapy screen. They've had the 14 and 16" version with the much better processor and OLED screen for around this price a few times since launch. This laptop series is going on a year old; $500 is the ceiling for a year old snapdragon pc. If you dont need a laptop right away i'd waight for the Book5 pro to drop to this price (uses intel not snapdragon) or find a good deal on a macbook air M2 or newer for $600-$700 (min 16gb ram). If you dont need windows.
Book5 pro, drop to $500+? Really??
