FYI: I bought the watch and 2 year warranty for my 11 year old daughter to call and text. Verizon (certain plans anyways) allow you to add a stand alone phone number for the cellular watch for $7.50/month. I did it all on the app and it was surprisingly easy. The Apple Family is also very user friendly.

The only catch is that you HAVE to have an iPhone to set this up. Luckily, my wife did.
