Worth buying and keeping just in case. These are a solid set of snips. They're a little rough, but do the job nicely.

I would spend a couple bucks more and pony up for Midwest or Wiss snips. I'm not a fan of Amazon stealing designs from other companies and selling similar appearing but typically inferior versions personally. To each their own of course.

Amazon has 3 videos, including 1 from seller. Not one video showing the Snip snipping anything. SMH

Buying Wiss is not going to be a couple bucks more, unless you considered $30 plus a couple of bucks.

The patent on this design has been up for many many years. Various manufacturers have been putting out the same design for many decades. Amazon did not steal anything. Amazon makes nothing and these are coming out of China factory. Milwaukee and Klein make their own versions and those companies are not thieves that stole anything. When patents are up that happens and it is great for the consumer. Till then a corporation has a monopoly and they usually keep price high.

Yes Wiss brand is definitely nicer but being in a trade that used these often bought bargain bin ones and all worked near as well and I am sure the will be fine for most homeowners. I have some off brands that have ten to twenty years on them and they still work.

I doubt we will see a video production unit for low cost kind of generic snip coming out of China factory. I have had many generic or store banded versions of these style snips and they all have worked. If you get them and they don't snip send them back.

The are likely on par with the Home Depot, Lowes or HF generic or store branded versions. This is pretty low price for three piece set and I do not think you will find them lower anywhere. I would grab these sets sometimes to just to have the left and right hand versions that I did not use that often but were great to have when I needed them.

There is video from a purchaser on the first page of the reviews showing them cut.

Fair enough. I would still go with Midwest which are in my opinion the best and I'm pretty sure still made in America. Patent or not, Amazon uses its platform to undercut companies on their own products all the time. In many cases they put small businesses out of business in this way. So if I see a company selling high quality made in America snips, I prefer not to buy the Amazon rebadged Chinese knockoffs. That's all. I get that it's a better option financially for those who can't splurge on snips. 👍

I use these to cut thin sheet metal and aluminum. They are not bad for light fabrication work. They do leave a rough edge that you will need to hit with a file.

I've never seen that brand on a jobsite before. Even the pros just use Stanley or masterforce or something. You just don't need nice tin snips when the cheap ones work well
