Funny until you have injured your hands. I've found these to be good for slowly rebuilding strength in your hands. Have always had strong hands but after tearing and then joint injuries, these have helped tremendously in recovery/rehab.

I've found various sized spring clamps are also good for recovery (and also cheaper).
