Not worth $70 more than the K8 Plus (32gb, 1TB).
  • K11 is 100MHz faster on cpu boost and igpu boost. Not noticeable by anyone.
  • K11 RGB Fan light can't be adjusted or turned off. K8 Plus doesn't have RGB.

GMKtec better or worse than Minisforum? Might pick one of these up.

I havent used minisforum, but I have used two GMKTec's (the K8 and the M7). Spec-wise, i wanted two M.2 slots plus the OCulink, which you cannot get the minisforum.

Support sucks on both sides; both companies offering barely what I would consider to be "support." I messaged both companies (as well as AOOSTAR) for some menial information. Only AOOSTAR got back to me with an answer which had a modicum of actual knowledge (I asked them the difference between pro and plus, as well as whether the Ryzen "Pro" made a difference). Sadly, they couldnt confirm if ECC memory was compatible or not. tl;dr: dont expect much. Minisforum took several days to reply as to whether their refurbs had a new shell or not.

Id say that unless you want one of the ones which have a very diff form factor than the typical "cube," then GMKTec is the better one. Minisforum has more chassis options.
