Though if you are going to pay mini prices, might as well get the Air. Even better processor and way more suitable as a sidecar for a MacBook. The mini feels too niche.

Good sale, but pretty common sale. That $250 same for basic iPad makes this an even tougher sell, even though I am one of those "niche" users that would prefer the mini for factor for traveling.
I prefer this mini size since I frequently traveI, and its size is perfect or my sling bag/ handbag. I missed the Costco clearance, but since I'm not in a hurry, I will wait for this to go down further — maybe Labor Day sale or Black Friday.
