He has analyzed the buy more save more deal at Ace and provided a list of items that are worth buying at the sale prices. Everything else is cheaper at HD.

Technically slick? Probably not, but putting in the effort to save time for others is more commendable than most of us will do for strangers today.

So basically don't buy anything at Ace because it's cheaper or the same at HD? How is this slick?

No explanation of what the "BMSM deal" is. The price list basically says "every item is the same price or more expensive than Home Depot" and doesn't say why we should buy anything from ACE. Explaining what the "BMSM deal" is and why/how that's a good deal is necessary.

Also, the lead currently says the sale price is $10 while the original price is $6 -- suggesting there's no actual deal. And none of the items listed are nearly that cheap. It's all very confusing for those not "in the know."

EDIT: Now that this has gone front page, editors have updated the listing to make it make sense. Thanks, SD editors!

$320 for that backpack is wild, but it looks damn impressive. I'm up to three milwaukee stacks, two on the cart attachment, and one on the dolly. By far the best of these systems I've owned, but you also pay more for the quality/features (unless you got lucky with that home depot deal a while back).

Good thing I wrote down what the OP took the time to write -- SD mods decided to censor him and replace his efforts with a generic cookie-cutter post.

This is a Buy More, Save More promo. The max discount is 40% when you buy $500 worth of packout gear. If you purchase marked up items using this promo at or below $500, you're definitely still getting an awesome deal. However, sticking to the price matched items truly maximizes the available discount.

Front page deals are rewritten to make them easier to read, but you should be able to click to see the original post. I agree in this case Taco_Doomsday's post is worth reading, the site layout could probably be improved to make it easier to see.

First time homeowner here, if I wanted to spend just enough to get the max discount and get setup to store some tools..

Any recommendations for a beginner to the ecosystem? The toolbox and a set of drawers seems like an obvious start?

Thanks for that. The original post is so much easier to understand and easier to find the better prices. He laid it out very well. Thanks OP.

48-22-8427 Rolling Tool Box, the 48-22-8442 2-Drawer Tool Box, and either one of the 3-Drawer Tool Boxes gets you to exactly $500.00. Comes out to about $100 each, exlcuding taxes of course.
