Not sure if they're constructed the same as the gray/black version but if so, thorns don't get through the palm and grip but do spike the back/sides of your hand.

I have and use these. Some thorns will get through these as the coated areas are not very thick.

I use these when cleaning pool pumps, filters or any kind of PVC work to keep the glue off the hands or need non-slip grip, great gloves.

Not sure what you're weeding, but the thorns from any sort of bush, like roses, very easily make it through the coating. These are not gauntlets. Welding gloves, which you can find for about 20 bucks, handle thorns much better.
