Product Description:
  • Introducing the Rogue hybrid bicycle - The Milo. Bearing the name of the Milo-Grogan neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio, home of Rogue HQ and where this bike originated, this single-speed commuter bike features a lightweight, American-made chromoly steel frame and fork, a modern belt-drive system, reliable disc brakes, and versatile urban tires for both on- and off-road adventures. In an era where most bikes are built overseas, The Milo stands out. True to Rogue principles, it embodies the best of 21st-century engineering and a commitment to quality components and craftsmanship.
  • The Chromoly frame is completed with a durable matte black powdercoat finish. This provides corrosion resistance in combination with a superior, smooth matte finish. Once finished, the head tube receives a Rogue Deuce logo badge. The Rogue Deuce has been a Rogue icon and part of the Rogue story since day one and still sits proudly on display in front of Rogue HQ to this day.
  • The Milo frame is constructed from Chromoly, or chrome molybdenum, known for its superior corrosion resistance, shock absorption, and responsiveness. Due to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, Chromoly is widely used in industries where speed and performance are paramount. This U.S.-made Chromoly steel frame offers a responsive flex, creating a smooth and superior ride.
  • Cable-actuated front and rear disc brakes are paired with 160mm stainless steel rotors for smooth and reliable stopping power, whether on a busy city street or an off-road adventure. Cable-actuated brakes are optimized for easy maintenance and adjustments without sacrificing all-terrain, stop-on-a-dime performance.
  • The wheels of the Milo are assembled in-house using the Astral Outback alloy rim. The Outback is designed for long-distance rides on dirt or pavement and uses an asymmetric rim design that improves spoke tension balance by up to 30%. The hand built wheel is then paired with Maxxis Hookworm 29" high-volume tires. The bead-to-bead tread on this urban tire ensures durability, traction, and balance for on and off-road cycling.

seems like a great price compared to Priority Bikes, another major belt-drive bike brand. Major difference is those are around 22lbs, this is 30lbs.

Looks like perfect bike for the neighborhood. 350$ and I'm buying 1 for misses and me. Waiting...
Don't hold your breath. Rogue typically sells all of its gear at 2x or higher compared to similar products sourced overseas. Their basic pitch is, "If you really are a patriot, you'll be happy to pay through the nose to prove it!" 😆

Any idea what the rear hub spacing is for these or what type of chainstay and seatstay clearance there is for larger than 2.5" tires or for full fenders? This looks great for a Gates Rohloff touring or bike packing rig!

Belt drives are extremely reliable and require less maintenance than standard chains. Basically the only thing you need to keep to service them is a spare belt just in case one breaks, but it essentially never happens. I remember watching a guy on youtube that used a belt drive/pinion gear box hardtail to ride thousands of miles through crazy places like alaska in january, and he said he had never had a belt break on him a single time. I think people cruising around town will be just fine.
Is it common for chains to break? Honest question. I cannot recall a time in my life ever that a chain has broken on my bike or one of my kids' bikes.

Since it's a hybrid, how long is the battery life? How long to recharge? Does the regenerative braking affect handling?

Can't tell if this is a joke or not.. If it's not, hybrid means that it's includes designs/components from road bikes and mountain bikes.

How can you tell if a rear rack can be mounted? I'd love to use this with some panniers for grocery shopping.

Very little maintenance. And this one has a belt drive, so it's nearly zero maintenance. If you can't get up hills, that doesn't mean you need more gears, it just means you need STRONGER LEGS.

Gorgeous frame with top-notch American welding—but somewhere between the bench press and the boardroom, they decided a heavy single-speed steel bike was a good idea. Maybe stick to what you know: barbells and bumper plates, not bikes.
I assume this frame is not butted, since the site doesn't mention it at all. Most chromoly frames are double or triple butted to make them lighter and absorb impact better: https://ritcheylogic.com/blog/the...cle-frames

This bike seems like a very cool package, but unfortunately with that one glaring defect. Maybe if you don't mind a heavy bike and live in a pretty flat region, this would be good for you.

I'd bite at 250. The belt drive and frame seem nice, but seems like a niche product. Shocked it doesn't have hydraulic brakes at that retail price.

TIG welded, and your wrong, 4130 Chrome-Moly has been TIG welded in the aerospace and aircraft industries for years.
Thin walled tubing are brazed, not welded. In place tube TIG welding is accomplished with a machined weld prep and sometimes weld insert on material thicker than 0.035".

A serious cyclist needs at least three gears. Efficiency drops significantly once crank rpm falls below 40 rpm.

Damn, Centurion Ironman, that's a name I didn't think would still exist. As a teenager around 1988, I lusted after a Dave Scott Centurion Ironman with Shimano 105 components. I did save enough to get it. The bike was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. Ah, those were the days.
The golden age of cycling. I have another Ironman with Shimano 600, and a Terry Ironman with 24" front/700c rear. Made in USA TrueTemper Cr Mo Shwinn Probe is virtually indestructible with 700c wheels, Shimano 105 drivetrain, and cantilever front brake.

It happens, but probably a more common issue is chain stretch. Over time the chain starts to stretch out. When that happens the chain doesn't line up perfectly with the cogs and chainring anymore and will cause premature wear. You can buy tools to measure chain stretch so you can replace your chain cheaply instead of your more expensive cassette or front chainring.

The rear hub spacing is a 135mm OLD, horizontal track style, bolt on axles.

There isn't much room for wider tires or fenders. The fork has roughly 6mm of clearance with the stock tire. 25mm vertical.

Chainstay and seatstay are about the same clearance widthwise, a little more than the front but I think about 8mm max. I'd need some sort of feeler gauge to get an accurate measurement, I was having a hard time with a scale in a dark garage. 20mm vertical @ seatstay and 15mm vertical @ chainstay.

Tire measures to just a hair over 2.4" measured with a caliper at 30psi.

You could probably fit a knobbier 2.5" but I don't think you are getting a much bigger tire on there. Fenders, maybe.
