I've been waiting for a deal like this and was so close to pulling the trigger, but there are an alarming amount of 1-star reviews for the 4TB X9 Pro on BH Photo. It seems like they are failing left and right. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...ml/reviews

Edit: Also looking at the X10 Pro and the reviews are even worse. Ton of failures and corrupted drives. It seems there's a rampant issue Crucial is having with these models. The search continues...

At least some of those 1-star reviews appear to be Mac users. I've bought many peripherals in the past that had big spikes on 1-str reviews, all by Mac users. Sadly, in this case, it is hard to say whether the issues are Mac only (Apple does things differently on purpose) or not. So I'll sit this out as well.

Re Samsung, over 50% of my Samsung Micro SD cards failed within two years... Flash simply doesn't appear to be a reliable backup solution.

I have two X6 2TB SSD's, going on over two years. Got this X9 couple days ago after canceling the X9 Pro that is $14 more, but seems like same speed.

Having multiple copies in multiple physical places is a reliable backup solution.
