I can't stand these types of deals on sit/stand desks. Looking at the first picture the split is front to back, but the third picture it's left to right. Regardless won't be going with a split top.

yes. In fact, you can buy just the legs and create your own top. Some people like to use butcher block counter top and stain it the color they like.
