Wow that's the lowest I've seen it. It was $230, then $220, and now $208. This printer might go under $200 by the end of the year. I have one. It's a fantastic printer.

Is this a good starter 3d printer? What software do you need to draw/construct your projects? Does it come with it? I have a mac & pc fyi.

This is a great starter printer!! Per AI search it says that enclosure is optional as well as a camera for remote viewing of printed item. It also said this doesn't support multi-color auto spool change printing like the Flashforge Adventure 5X printer that costs more - of course.

Bought it as my first printer on the previous $220 deal and it prints great right out of the box. The Orca Slicer that flash forge provides is beginner friendly, too.

You'll need a 3D program like TinkerCAD (free) to design and build your own models. You can also download STL and 3MF files from websites like Thingiverse, slice them in Orca, and print them right away.

I have three of these and just got the multi material AD5X. They are great printers, crazy fast and just seem to work. I would recommend getting the inexpensive aftermarket hot end/hardened nozzle assemblies and a cool plate, and also immediately printing a side mounted spool holder as the back one is a pain to mess with. My oldest one has about 1k hours printing and has only had a nozzle setup fail, which was immediately replaced for free by Flashforge. My other two are at around 500 hours with no issues.

I have a new 5M in the box from the last deal, considering sending it back for the AD5X. Have you found any differences in ease of use, software, reliability, etc between the two? Will be my first printer.

Good printer but I would hold out for at least the Pro (enclosure, filtering) to save the bother and cost of trying to print your own enclosure (and still not getting filtering), if not the AD5X if you want multi-filament printing.

How is this compared to a Bambu A1 Mini? Which is currently $220.

Big fan of this printer. I've had mine for a year now.
