I've had this for about 7 years. It's useless because you can't apply enough force at an angle. Even if you press down on it, the gears inside doesn't transfer any torque from the driver. Save the money.

If you really need something for this scenario, get a hand wrench that holds a driver bit.

It came in handy when I installed kitchen cabinets but definitely not a must. I agree … waste of money

I just used this this past wknd. It saved me from moving a 150lb cabinet away from the wall to sink an anchor screw.

I'm in the same boat as you finding it useful. I have used this many times over the years getting at angles that my impact is too wide for. Never had a problem with it working for my screws. It helps to put one of your hands on the adapter for stability and extra torque. For a hand tool, this is a great alternative: https://a.co/d/eFRtsyF

I have this and hate it. Some other brands sell these with a small handle that can be attached to the side, allowing you to hold it steady and apply some pressure. This DeWalt version without any side grip support is tricky to press on or even hold at a steady angle sometimes. Yes, it's saved me on a couple of jobs, but I would 100% buy something else with a side grip included next time.

I've used this and think it's generally useful. You definitely have to hold it firmly with one hand then have your drill in the other. So it's not ideal for very tight spaces where you can't hold on to it. But I haven't really run into a situation yet where I couldn't use it.

I've found this pretty useful in certain situations. You do have to hold it steady at the base, but sometimes you need to creep up close to a wall and sometimes there isn't enough room to swing a wrench. Agree there are always more ways than one to skin a cat, but it has proven handy for me. A right angle drill might eliminate most situations for those, but they are still bulkier. I didn't think it would last, but mine has held up pretty well. One thing to note is that short bits will sit deep in the holder and are annoying to pull out. Not a big deal... Just a nuisance.

I used this to install the mud guards on my car. Extremely useful for that situation. Don't pay the stealership to install mud guards.

I will offer my use case where I find it to be quite helpful at times:
As a flat rate mechanic, this performs well at speeding up removal/installation of smaller fasteners in tight places. I've had mine for a few years now, and it has held up well, being exclusively used with a 1/4" impact driver on fasteners of up to maybe 20ft-lbs. No force is required to hold it into most fasteners either as there's usually enough engagement that it will hold itself when driving fasteners in/out of threaded holes. Combine it with half cut bits like the Mayhew Dual Drive, and it's good time saver for me. My only complaint is when I use a short adapter, it cracked the magnet ring in a couple places. Still works perfect though. Smaller than the Milwaukee equivalent in most dimensions too.

I've found the same for auto work. It has helped me avoid taking out multiple parts to get access . I know. A real mechanic might take all those parts out in no time. I am not a real mechanic. 😂
