is this better then the old flood light. The older one sucks, it comes on constantly without foot traffic even though you have this thing on lowest setting...

How is this light with false alerts? I've got an older light and bugs set it off all night even on lowest setting.

They didn't abandon HomeKit. Some of their newer products such as the indoor e30 camera are HomeKit compatible.

I have this one, no false alerts that I have seen over the past few months, unlike my doorbell that thinks every flying bug is a delivery driver!

mines the same .. there's no way around mine. The slightest Traffic noise makes mine turn on, so annoying ..

yea, noise triggers it which is interesting. no way to adjust sensitivity of the noise alerting. I'm leaving eufys platform for Unifi cameras instead. too many issues. I just pulled down a flight cam 2 and replaced it with an e340 iirc, but that's my last camera I'm getting from them. the floodlight camera only lasted a couple years getting beat up by the Texas summer sun. it only got morning/sunset sun too...but the constant wifi disconnects, lack of adjustability of critical functions like sound sensitivity, trying to push you to home base, poor initial RTSP implementations, so many things. eufy is the best still for ppl who aren't technically inclined and don't want to pay subscription costs.

I turn the audio off on all of my eufy cameras except the doorbell. I don't get any false alarms at all. I'm thinking of getting a floodlight cam for the back yard. Can you not turn audio off on the floodlights?

My doorbell cam never gets false alerts on bugs and such. I have it set to "human" only motion detection. It does not pick up cars or pets or anything other than human motion.

A couple of my cameras I do have set for "Pets" also because I do like looking at wildlife, but if it became a nuisance I would just turn the pets setting off like on the doorbell.

I do have an issue with wifi on the outdoor units, so I had to build a mesh system and set the access points in the window. My house has brick exterior walls and aluminum backed insulation board, both of which seem to be tough on wifi. My son has no wifi issues on his house with vinyl siding.

I'm on the fence about whether to get the E30 or E340 floodlight cam, guess I'll wait a few days and see what Prime Day offers.

With this camera, is the motion/light sensor only in a fixed position under the lights and does not swivel with the camera module?

I would like to install something like this on the side of my house but if the sensors can't rotate with the camera 90 degrees to face the driveway, it would be kind of useless to me.

This has a superior radio vs the e340. I'd lose connection to the E340's I had, replaced them with this and they've been great.

Yeah, they dropped the wifi amplifier on the e340. They also added 5 ghz to the e340, but that doesn't help if range is a problem. Your e340 was probably defaulting to the 5 ghz which has less range than standard 2.4 ghz, much less the amplified one.

I wonder if there is a way to force the e340 to use 2.4 ghz. I know you can use 2.4 to initially set up the camera, but some of the videos I watched said that it then would use 5 ghz when available. I've had intermittent issues with devices which select 5 ghz over 2.4 ghz.

Thanks for your post, it may help me decide which camera to buy.
