Nice! looks like it briefly dropped to $90 in April, but that still makes this pretty close to best price.
So keep hearing Home Assistant <3 REOLINK - is that true?
And makes this better than the Tapo cam?
(I think I'm done with my Nest doorbell cam 😶)

Didn't know they made a 2k doorbell already. Is there a wired version?

From the Amazon page:

"WIRE FREE + FLEXIBLE POWER SOLUTION: Battery or wired installation supported. Regarding the wired mode, the doorbell is charged trickily through the battery after it is connected to the power source. Works with existing mechanical chimes for power and ringing when connected via wiring; supports DC 24V, AC 8-24V, and 5VA-40VA transformers. Note: 24/7 continuous recording is not supported."

POE version too:

I much prefer the wired / non-battery version. Works better with Synology Surveillance Station and does a better job 'pre'-recording events. I've tried both.

New Model Pro's:
-2K
-Uses existing mechanical chime
Cons:
-Battery is the weak link and will be an issue at some point
-Continuous recording not supported

(I think I'm done with my Nest doorbell cam 😶)

reolink home assistant integration and the devs behind it are bad ass. Updates are regular so are new features and fixes. All my reolink cameras(new and old) expose a ton of entities which makes it possible to create some insane automations. I literally had zero issues with it in 5 years since I dived into the home assistant and reolink ecosystem
P.S. not sure about the tapo cam but all my switches in the house are tp link kasa devices, I love all 20+ of them.

The PoE version you linked is the older model. I don't think there is a PoE version of the new one. The old model cant ring your mechanical chimes. The old wifi model actually has an ethernet port too, it just cant be powered by it.

edit: wait the old model was also 2k, did they just remove the ethernet port and add mechanical chime support and a battery

There is a POE version but I did not buy it because I just want to use old wiring. The bypass is very simple and wife works just fine. For POE version, I would have to run wire all over the attic which was not ideal. I removed old bell switch, bypass the circuit, swapped this doorbell camera in and finished the installation within a few minutes.
