I had the hoover platinum bagless and it was stellar. So convenient... But then I got the air cordless (with detachable hand vac) and it was TRASH! Constant clogs, tiny dust capacity even with no pets, very short battery life.
The (corded) Hoover platinum bagless was a solid machine with a full SIX year warranty, but after a year after they quit selling it, no parts were available, so ours had to be replaced because the hinge broke on the dust bin.
I don't follow their line anymore as it became clear they were going the cheap route on design and moving toward disposable devices... At still-high prices.
EDIT: as this appears to be built on a different platform with different batteries, things may have changed for the better, but I would urge caution and a quick check of consumer reports or other reviews before pulling the trigger on this.
The manual says 3 yr limited warranty.
These are light weight cheap same as many other basic China made. Figure you will get 1-2 yrs out of it with light use.
