You don't need this. Calcium deficiency is normally caused by the soil not being acidic enough. Tomatoes absorb nutrients, including calcium, at much lower pH levels. Just buy bone meal and fertilize your tomatoes early on. Also, mix one teaspoon of 5% vinegar with one gallon of water and water your tomatoes. The vinegar will help gently lower the pH. Never apply concentrated vinegar directly as it will burn your tomatoe. You can also buy pH strips for better accuracy since everyone's tap water can be different.

Thanks mang. This reminds me of why I bought a pH meter - I've read this story before, but every spring I forget it.

(the slick deal is to avoid this product) Also irregular watering cycles can cause blossom end rot. I second the bone meal recommendation to the addition of your chosen method of fertilization. My preference is compost, organic slow release fert, and bone meal to avoid this problem. Then troubleshooting water/watering issue as you stated.
