I've used this for the past 5 years on multiple vehicles and it's worked great, just don't expect miracles. It's fine for 90% of smaller chips

These sold for less than $3 on temu. That's already more than 2x the cost to make.

Call your insurance company. They'll send someone out. It's free.

YMMV on that one because in certain cases they will up your insurance the following year by a good amount

Definitely a no brainer if your car has HUD, driver assist which could make a windshield replacement pretty expensive

This stuff is great. I got and used after learning about it from project farm.
Overall easy to use if you follow the steps.
It's been well over a year and my chip in car windshield hasn't spread, even through all seasons.
I agree. Follow the instructions precisely. Works better to do it on a fairly sunny day over 60.

I had 3 chips in my windshield that had built up over time and I used this - if you're careful and patient, you can use the system more than once (need to use razor to scrape the foam ring off the windshield if you want to use it on a second chip), on the same day (glue will dry out once it's opened). None of them ever spread. It was an older car & windshield so I was willing to take the risk and not pay someone else to do it.

Look for a good video on youtube that walks you through it, especially the part about how you hook the syringe into the metal clip and the steps on how to apply the glue, so you don't screw that up.

It's FREE if the types of insurance coverage you carry include glass.

Not everyone carries comprehensive and collision, and not everyone adds glass coverage to those (in some states, glass is an add-on to those, not automatically included).

I don't carry comprehensive or collision insurance, and without them, in my state, I can't get glass insurance. They're not worth the added expense to me - what I've saved on them over the years would more than cover the cost of replacing my car. Since I've never had an accident, they don't seem like good value for me.

I wonder if this would work to repair the top pane of glass of my home window. Neighbor was having their driveway, paved and a rock hit my window.
You could try. What do you have to lose? Might lose heat / cooling if the window is leaking.
It might not work - window glasses on houses is not the same as the safety glass windshield.

Sort reviews by most recent---->5 of the last 10 reviews are 1 star, most say it doesn't work at all. I'll pass.
Then they don't know how to use it. Worked great on 3 cars for me. Just bought 3 more packs.

ChrisFix has an excellent "how-to" video on these. Find it on YouTube. I've used these a few times no problem. In for more.

I've got about 12 of these on my car. Use them as soon as I get a chip. Not had to replace my windshield for years. No big cracks.

Yeah this is the key right here, I have about 4 in my car trunk at any given time. They are super useful especially if you get a chip in a remote area or on a weekend when nobody is open to patch them. They won't look perfect, you may still have a small identifiable spot if you look really hard, but they stop it from turning into a giant crack which is a PITA and even illegal in some states (my wife actually got pulled over in AZ for that, clearly they had nothing better to do). Really easy to use and handy to have, I'm grabbing a bunch more.
