Probably used in placed where mower can't get to and one wants to be more delicate than a string trimmer, like next to certain kinds of edging?

They don't honor their warranty, it's all cheap products with fiskars.

Use an electric mower or string trimmer for as much as you can, and then just pull up the weeds around areas you don't want to get to close to with the power tools. This tool just doesn't make any sense. If the weeds are too difficult to pull up just wet the earth and wait a few minutes before pulling again.

Great for grass edging/clipping in areas where you want to avoid your weed whacker for throwing a bunch of debris.
