If you already own Horizon Zero Dawn, this is how it should look.

Probably a niche complaint but note that, unlike the original, the remaster doesn't allow mouse/keyboard and gamepad input simultaneously. Can be an issue if you're using something like a Steam controller that allows for analog character movement via joystick while also being able to emulate mouse aiming via touchpad or gyro.

this is only the upgrade if you have the original game. the UPGRADE is $6. normally it's $10.

I have never seen a remastered game that I am impressed with except for the graphics of the new Oblivion. Is this really worth another play thru?
The only big change is the new MOCAP for the conversations, only reason this update should cost money

Imo the rest looks too saturated and some areas look worse because of it

Meh, I went ahead and got it because fark it why not. I also went through my steam wishlist and just bought a bunch of those as well.

Note of caution to people who have very large digital game libraries across different platforms. Make sure you don't already own a game before hitting buy. Had like 20 games in my cart then started checking EGS, Ubi, Gamepass, EA and wound up removing a bunch of games from my cart that would have been duplicates.

Anyways bought a bunch of games and divided between them all I spent $2.70 per game including this game. McDonalds costs more.

Doesn't seem to work if you're trying to purchase as a gift for someone whom has the game

Every seasonal sale there is a theme. This year is kinda vague. But in past years there would be daily games and challenges. You'd get points for finishing each day. The points could then be converted to pictures or themes for your Steam profile page. Or for emotes that could be used in Steam chat. The trading cards do the same thing as the points. When you play a specific game like Horizon Zero Dawn, when you complete achievements you get trading cards. Each game will have a set number of cards. You convert those cards into items that relate to that game. So, you could get a Horizon Zero Dawn picture or emote. Getting these cards and crafting cards from game achievements also level up your Steam profile page. I don't participate in all this stuff, and I have a couple hundred thousand points, because I don't use them my profile level is 42 but would be way higher if I got into this stuff. There is an entire meta game of taking these cards, pooling them with other cards and crafting them into higher level card packs and then getting higher level perks to show on your profile page.

Oh, jeez I forgot about selling cards on the Steam card market, I did get into that one summer sale. I had pages and pages of cards. There is a market and going rate for each card based on how rare it is and then you could sell them. Like people making money off CSGO skins. Telling you all this stuff is so meta and goes deep if you want to get into it.

I dunno man, gotta catch em all I guess.

I'm in the same boat and also on the picky side when it comes to preferring 60fps. After watching several reviews am gonna wait.

The dualsense edge works great. All buttons supported in the menus. Haptic feedback even works wirelessly on the steamdeck, which is uncommon.

Supposedly but I haven't checked. Steam Community says you'll have to use wired to get full haptics. https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki...ck_support https://steamcommunity.com/app/25...188646161/
I think you are right, I just read some verbiage on the Steam page that seems to be alluding to the same thing.

"⁴Wired connection required to experience the full range of in-game controller features."

Now, I can't figure out what that "⁴" is citing.

Great catch, and that behavior can be a true pain with Steam input (not Steam's fault) on the Steam Deck. I'll use the gamepad config by default but frequently bind a Steam Deck key to a keyboard binding if that specific binding does not exist on the gamepad (for example a specific weapon or directly to the map as opposed to going through the menu to get to the map). Other games just get a little annoying like the The Division when their on screen prompts change from gamepad to K&B based on the last input used. Heck, Grim Dawn was weird in its own way, the entire HUD was different for K&M so your display would flip flop based on the last input. So shortsighted from these devs. Even before the Steam Deck I'd play some games with a gamepad while sitting in front of the keyboard, can't be the only one who didn't put their K&M in a drawer when using a gamepad.

$6 seems a bit much for what amounts to a reskin with no new content.

Fallout 4 did the same thing, but didn't charge for it.

Picked this up a few days ago, it allows you to easily import your save(s) from the Complete Edition. This game looks and performs amazing.

Will the game continue working if you uninstall Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition after installing the remaster?
