Samsung has the Galaxy Fold Z6 discounted before Wednesday's unveiling of the 7. Need an edu or EPP account and select no trade in for $545 off the already discounted price.

I had to go through the web and not the app as the app just tries to get me to reserve the new phone.

The fold 6 is pretty terrible for even that price. The fold 7 is definitely worth getting for the bigger screen or literally any other folding phone. Oppo find N5 is a great alternative

Does not always activate in VZ or AT&T

The Oppo Find N5 is not officially sold in the US, but it is possible to use it on some US carriers. While Oppo does not have a retail presence or storefront in the US, some users have successfully imported the phone and activated it on networks like T-Mobile and Mint Mobile. However, it may not work with Verizon, and success with AT&T can be hit or miss.

I think this will sell out faster than anyone expects. I have the 1TB Fold 6 and got this deal for my brother in law. Can't compare Samsung to other phones. Fold 6 is a beast and I'm personally buying the 7 at release. Started using them since Fold 4.

I tried the fld 6 but found the front screen just too thin. I think the 7 is wider.

Fold 7 being announced in 5 days means the price on the 6 will continue to drop.

I own a samsung galaxy z fold4 and don't see enough meaningful reason to upgrade to the zFold6. I dont think the changes were su stantisl enough. Like someone else mentioned above, ive been waiting for the wider screen and theb6 doesnt offer that. I'll wait for the zfold7 to go on sale.

Side note, my zfold 4 suffered from a fold issue with just less than 2 years of usage.
Symptom: it would lose power while folding.
Cuase: failure of a ribbon cable causing power issue.
The phone had to be replaced, otherwise it was a $600 fix. (Thank god for insurance).
Because of this issue that exists on the fold 4,5 and some zflips also, I think I may just switch to a Galaxy ultra phone in the future unless this issue can be prevented. I dont like paying for phone insurance

long time galaxy and fold user here. I think I'm passing on the fold7 and getting a Vivo x Fold 5.

Lately battery life of my fold5 is really bad after Samsung rolled out new update. Hope they fix it soon.

The Samsung Fold 7 is 10g lighter than the Oppo Find N5 (215g vs 225g).

tempting but no, this is 1 year old and new one is around the corner. fold 7 is leaps better in design, it is not like fold 4, 5 and 6 which are identical to each other
