if this was LTE I'd consider for my kids...it would have been a decent tracker for them

The Pixel watches are consistently pretty good.
No they're not. I just upgraded from Pixel 2 ($150 Black Friday deal) to a Garmin Vivoactive 5 (currently $195 sale) and it's a light years improvement in every respect.

The Pixel 2 from what I've read was a big improvement over the Pixel 1, so $60 for the Pixel 1 seems about right, but I would not buy it now that I know what a decent smartwatch is.

Wonder if the Pixel 1's batterly life is as horrendous as the Pixel 2, which I just upgraded away from...got sick of having to recharge it every damned morning even though I kept the display off, bluetooth and wifi off, all phone functionality off, etc. And the Pixel 2's heart rate monitorin accuracy was horrible unless you're doing something where your arm isn't moving much, like riding a stationary bike or straight up sleeping, lol.

They're all not accurate, tbh
Your statement is 100% true but I don't know if it's relevant here. One can argue all time keeping devices are not accurate.

Worth every penny. I have it for over 2 years and no issues whatsoever. Bright screen, battery lasts day and a half. I am moderately active. Light runs 15-20 mins on an average per day and usual walks. No issues at all. I would have bought it again if mine was having issues.
does it support all major apps on the watch?

Sign up for the lowest tier of AAA for $65 and you'll get the discount following a link from the AAA website. You'll almost always save more then the $65 you spent.
Interesting. Definitely gonna look into this. Thanks.

Edit: Quick googling suggests this is a separate discount program run via AAA, different from the regular EPP discount run by Samsung. Might not have the same offers. Still, likely better than nothing.
