I did ask a manager at one store about the markdown, and she said they get emails on Monday mornings for markdowns to make that week. Hopefully more locations follow this week or next.
Yea, went to Costco for price adjustment and they told it's no longer availability and hence can't do price match. Sad.

I'm not sure this is true. This Tommy Bahama board was made by Isle, a very reputable paddle board company. Isle claims this board uses the same construction as their other boards.
why do you say that? just curious because it looks similar to the performer GTS, only the Marlin is longer and has seemingly better features...
The BG is a long proven high quality build board with 3 stringer construction making them very stiff. The Tommy board has zero history and I do see a lot of 1 star reviews. That paddle looks like the typical one that comes with the sub $100 boards on Amazon. If you compared them side by side in person and with paddling them, the differences would be noted. In looking at them in the store and on YT, the Marlin has way too much rocker (high bow) which works against tracking and glide. YT videos show it. And BIG negative is they are not using stainless steel D rings and instead just the PVC to attach the seat or gear. Definitely a no. Note both the BG and Tommy do not include a manual pump which is a must have as electric pumps need vehicle power which is not always available, especially with hiking or having to carry the board to get to the water. I'm not saying the Tommy board is bad, it's just that the BG board cuts less corners and has a solid reputation. BG replaced a broken paddle (my fault since on white water and it got wedged in rocks) no charge that was 2 years old and out of warranty. Get out there and have fun.
