The code is working for me. VERY Good for mini or cargo Van with 4 channels.

Considering the advertised features at the $85 price point, this is a very good deal for a decent product. However, it does not perform anywhere near the more quality competition out there (and you'd have to pay a lot more). If you don't have a dash cam, get one already -- at $85, you don't have any excuse.

$270? Maybe many years ago. The multi camera part seems convenient but when the whole thing breaks down you're out of a whole setup vs traditional separate camera options where you can replace one or two.
dashcam night footage isn't great in general but it's getting better with starvis tech. this one might make sense for the price but I'd rather pay a little more with something with the most recent sensors if I'm going to be driving often when it's dark

Built-in 128gb storage is a no bueno. The space is limited with one review claiming only one week of storage, but more importantly, if the internal storage fails, the unit is useless.

So which dashcam would you recommend at a higher price point?

Use your phone. It beats all the dashcam.
I did that once. After a collision, I learned that the camera needs a secure mount because the phone flew off its phone holder!
FWIW, I currently use Viofo A129 since its parking feature is supposed to record before the motion is detected.

So you would have to throw the whole thing away if Built-in 128gb storage failed? Just like Apple, Google and Samsung 💩

I got a VIOFO A229 Plus and I really like it. It's got two channel (front and rear) 1440p (2k) recording. I turn off the internal (to the vehicle) sound recording and the logo (from showing in recording). It's 8% off and there's a $30 coupon right now ($199). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKX14L34
I also bought the polarized lens cover to reduce glare on sunny days. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MY9YHNV
.

I also bought a ROVE R2-4K DUAL for a friend and it also has a good image, not quite as good as the VIOFO. It's also a two channel 2k camera but they add it together to say "4k." It comes wtih a micro SD 128gb card too. It's on-sale at 45% off right now ($109.99). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6J5B98H
.

As far as micro SD cards go, I bought a Samsung EVO Select 512GB. It has V30, A2 speed ratings which is easily more than fast enough to handle dual 2k video. IT was $35 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWPPMD8W
.

I made my VIOFO purchase decision based on this video from Project Farm: https://youtu.be/uLjGazIxjEA
