I have a bose soundtouch 300 with the acoustimass. Everybody comments on how awesome it sounds, but I know it's super old in comparison to something like this.

Any chance I would notice a difference?

Looks like these are the rear speakers that connect to the receiver.

No. The two rear speakers are connected by color coded wires to the Wireless Speaker Module which has a wireless connection to the soundbar. There are no wires connecting the rear speakers to the soundbar. The rear speakers do get their electrical power via a power cord.
To clarify…the taller of the two thin devices shown in the system photo at the top of the listing is the Wireless Speaker Module.

I didn't say soundbar, I said receiver. It's called a receiver module. 🙄 so yes. You do connect wires to the receiver.
