A version of this monitor with the same panel is my daily work monitor and light gaming, and have no issue staring at it for 10-12 hours a day. The panel is awesome and for some reason provides better eye relief than a couple others I use regularly. Side notes this model is fine but consider the 27UP850K-W has usb pd, which you should be able to get at right around the same price on sale. Finally the hardware buttons and menu work well but may be annoying to some if frequently switching inputs/settings.
