Wow. I'm surprised to hear that as we have used these for 6 or 7 years and have only had one lid hinge break after using 10-12 containers.
The glass ones do not store as easily as the plastic.
I'm looking at this as $18 for 4 replacement lids for the glass containers. Which I don't consider a bad deal, considering they don't sell them otherwise.
