No DRAM. Think it is most *comparable to Sammy's 990 Evo Plus line, which 4tb was on sale recently at $223 (a bit cheaper but no heatsink)

EDITED TO UPDATE: PLEASE SEE DirkD's post clarifying QLC vs TLC and resulting difference in endurance. Price being equal, Samsung seems to be the much stronger drive (TLC with 3x rated endurance)

Check Facebook marketplace for local meet ups, I found a few Samsung 990 pro 4tbs brand new for $200-$210. Still better than paying $230+ on a new one

What am I missing? I don't get why anyone thinks Crucial SSDs are a good deal. They consistently have some of the lowest TBW numbers across the industry but they are not priced to reflect that.

Amazon resale has the Samsung 990 Pro - with or without a heatsink - for $183, after 30% off Prime day deal, for "used like new", which is basically a customer return. That's a way better deal for a way better drive.

Hmm worth a try. It's sold by Amazon so shouldn't be hard to return if it has an issue.

I love Crucial's stuff, and have their DRAM and SSDs in a few of our PCs. But- good grief, never have I seen such a low endurance number! This might be good for long-term storage (if it doesn't fail), but I'd never consider this as a main drive.

Choose the "used - like new" (basically a customer return) that's $261.09. Right now, there's an extra 30% off for Prime days, bringing the price down to $182.76.

4TB with only 800TBW? Something ain't right... All my 2TB NVME I brought so far are equals or higher than 1200TBW. Not to mention the 2TB 3600TBW Toshiba based GEN 4 models.

Better deal is the Samsung 4TB 990 Evo Plus $235. 10% back. Buy a heatsink for $7-8. Still come out way ahead with 5 year warranty/2400TBW and better specs.

Thanks for this reminder" the Amazon renewables do not offer manufacture warranty it seems. Not a lawyer so have to pay the premium vs 20-30% discount.
