Has anyone brought and kept this tv?

I have already been considering this or 75" and by that I mean checking best buy every single day. pure adrenaline when I saw it discounted.

Objectively pretty slick deal, and maybe lowest until maybe black Friday?

But the brightness, upscaling performance , and longevity gives me pause. Then again every YouTube tv guy loves this tv

Is there a closely priced 65 TV that offers great upscale performance because that really matters to me a lot. because I'm looking for a New TV for my parents and they mostly watch upscaled SDR and HD...not really much in 4k.

Take a look at the QM7 from last year. Some stores still have stock. You can install the latest firmware from the 2025 models and it greatly improves picture quality. Scored well on rtngs and even better with firmware update.

Costco has it same price with extra warranty if you are member
Also this is not as good as QM7
And then there is Pansonic deal also to consider

To clarify, are you saying this model is not as good as a higher model that costs more money?

Correct. Despite your sarcasm I will give you an unsarcastic answer. It may be obvious but there is a much more radical difference between QM6 and QM7 then between QM7 & QM8. At least based on what I read on Rtings and Reddit. Q6 panel uses different tech and does not get as bright.

Is the QM6 brightness issue the one that is addressed by setting Gamma to 2.2 or something similar?

I agree Costco is the better deal with the 5 year warranty.

I just post what I got from quickly reading up after seeing the Costco deal posted a day or two ago. Read the Rtings. Or r/tcltvs on Reddit. I was in the market for a 55 QM7 last BF but ended up puting my living room tv in the bedroom and getting a C4 for living room.

Read Reddit sub on tcltvs , they will probably steer you away from this or the Q77

Use nvidia shield pro. No TV can beat its upscaling power.

550 is still to high. Panasonic w95 65" was just $500 at Costco and is a better tv. I'll bite when it's sub $500 or go for the qm7 once this price

Plus the Costco one has better reflection handling as it is named the qm6k pro
