I'm torn here. Open Box around ~$1500 for a 5070ti, but 300 nits and 16GB RAM.

I went to Best Buy and looked at it. It's not as dark as I thought it'd be. It's a big boy though (pretty thick). After taxes its over 1700, after upgrading ram you're in 1800 territory. I couldn't pull the trigger. Like Monkey said, I'd too recommend an open box if you can find it.

I see some open box available for shipping. Price is $1,483 + Tax so sounds pretty good.

Yeah 300 nits isn't too dim when it's new. The problem is the brightness dims over time and in 3 years it's 200 or less and dim as shit. Frown

It's mostly a longevity question. If you replace every 12-24 months it probably won't matter to you.

why would anyone buy a g16 for this price when for around 1700 you can get an omen max with 5080 and oled?
