The art looks cute enough - for a moment, I was half expecting this would be a kindle version of the weird photo-illustrated coffee-table book from the mid '90s, but no, it seems instead to be sort of almost roald dahl-esque scribbles. (In a good way, I mean.) They seem to be sprinkled throughout the existing text, so, if you don't have a copy of the book, this *is* an inexpensive way to start.

Never finished the book, I still have it from Think Geek, but I should read it. I had some credits.

The Series is great! Although I am a life long Sci Fi fan I had never heard of it. Probably 40 years ago a guy I worked with would all of a sudden start quoting the stories. Turns out he listened to it all of the time off of cassette tape. Finally I was hooked enough to buy a copy of the book.

I read the original non-graphic version at least three times, 35 years ago. I recommend you do too. Because then you are utilizing your imagination to make the imagery instead of filling your mind with the tacky half-baked cagey graphics surrounds the book.
What's nice about the book as it's really easy to read yet makes you imagine complex, hilarious imagery. I highly recommend this book for someone who's never read a book before.

I got so quickly addicted to the series that I read the third book in one day. I've never read a book in one day before or since.
