Be careful with luggage that contains any type of chargers built in. If they aren't removable it limits whether it can be checked or not. These also can cause some hassles with TSA, depending on airport, they might guarantee you get a more thoroughly done inspection. Which if you're tight on time, will not make you happy.

It seems this one isn't built in, but just something to consider if you're in the market.

If it isn't polypropylene or polycarbonate, stray away. I wish there were more fabric options

Luggage is one of those things you really need to research and understand what you're buying. You don't want cheap luggage.

Very nice but I would never buy one that has only 2 screws on the handle.

Home Depot must've caught a deal from a cargo ship with an extra shipping container on the way from China.

Excellent life tip. Been a few years since I traveled frequently and wouldn't have thought twice about this

Yep - bought this last year. It's better than a lot of the other cheap rollers I've seen. The front pocket is kind of deep so it intrudes into the "top" half of the carryon fairly significantly. It makes the top half too skinny to fit a pair of shoes. But if you carry a lot of electronics, that front pocket can be handy.

  • Polycarbonate is widely regarded as the best all-around material for hardside luggage. It offers an excellent balance of durability, impact resistance, flexibility, and weight. Polycarbonate can withstand rough handling, is less likely to crack, and can often be restored to its original shape after dents. It is more expensive than polypropylene and ABS, but the longevity and protection it offers make it a top choice for frequent travelers.
Lightest and Good Value
  • Polypropylene is the lightest hard-shell material and offers good durability at a lower price point. It's ideal for travelers who prioritize weight and affordability, though it is less rigid and can become brittle in very cold temperatures
avoid ABS. is the most affordable but also the least durable of the main hard-shell materials. It is heavier and more prone to cracking compared to polycarbonate and polypropylene

USB port is a plus. But lacking HDMI is a hard pass for me.
