The scroll wheel has issues scrolling after a year. Common failure cause their scroll sensor sucks. People try to solder a new one on in YouTube videos.

I have the wired version of the deathadder v3. Using it with my macbook pro.My kid has the v2. That one was a pass me down. Been using it for years and it has been fine.

That was fixed 5+ years ago with optical switches. The newest v4 version switched to an optical sensor for the scroll wheel as well but it's very expensive ($170 MSRP) and just released so don't expect any deals soon on the v4.

Lots of cheaper options now but the Deathadder is still a great mouse.

I have the white version, while it's nice over all. I really only have two annoyances. It creaks when you squeeze with even the slightest pressure and since I use it on a glass pad it makes an awful scratching noise.
