Good deal on a basic small smart TV. I have purchased 4 of them (guest room, office, kitchen, daughter's first apartment).
They are plenty good enough for a small TV.

It can definitely get laggy on a cheap TV like this with the most basic version and minimal RAM, especially if you try to install a lot of apps. If you keep it simple (as I do in the guest room with just Netflix and Prime), and you keep the apps updated, then it's acceptable.

Yeah open box from Best Buy is how I got most of them. Great deals if you are patient. When the TVs go on sale, then the open box prices drop a similar amount.
