Yikes. I used to be tempted by these deals in the past. In reality, I'm very happy I kept running to Caribou/Dunkin/Sbux (or, in reality, using my drop pot or French press) until I had enough saved for a decent Breville (or the like). What can you honestly expect out of a machine that costs less than most mid-quality drop pots?!

I don't think he liked it..."This is God awful. I will not give this away. I am going to throw it in the trash..." Thanks for the heads up.

Breville isn't that great of an espresso machine either. Sure, better than bella but not at all near a top tier espresso maker.

I have this machine. I'm not really a coffee snob, but I do drink a ton of coffee and espresso. This machine is ok for an espresso brew once you've done a few trial runs and get your brew settings dialed in. The most disappointing part of the machine, for me, is the steam wang. I'm not sure if some.ofnthese machines are better than others in this regard, but mine doesn't produce much steam. Each steam "pump" also spits out a portion of hot water. So my milk never textures right. If you want good milk texture, look elsewhere. If you want hot milk with some hot water and a small amount of steam and an ok espresso brew without spending a ton of money, this is for you. My wife likes the brew I make with the barely textured milk, so this machine was worth keeping for me at $50.

This espresso machine at Best Buy [bestbuy.com] is about as low as I've seen this go for. It's an entry level espresso machine, but gets pretty good reviews. I bought one for myself (which is crazy, because I'm mostly a tea drinker lol).

I have this in black color. I bought it to try espresso and if I liked it, I was gonna get a fancier one. Its so easy to use and makes quite decent espresso... I decided to just keep using this till it breaks but it is still going strong after two plus years.

Congratulations, you have articulated that a Breville espresso machine is neither the worst nor the best. I don't think anyone here would disagree with that sentiment. The original comment you replied to was simply saying that saving a bit to buy a mid-tier machine was definitely more worth than pulling the trigger on a cheap piece of garbage.

It was 29.9, so I will skip it. Otherwise, totally worth trying it out

Upgraded my manual espresso maker (which has to be manually shutoff). I have drunk espresso for more decades than I care to admit. Espresso pull is fine, no plastic taste. Ignore youtuber about having to do a full clean every time, the reviewer can't follow basic directions. I do not use the wand, so no comments there.
Thanks!

Yeah reviewer lost me with balloney 30 min cleaning. I have one of those cheap best buy machines and they are absolute fine and on par with what you get for 1 euro in Italy. Like the espresso is absolutely fine. Who wanna be a connoisseur of coffee? I am on it for the caffeine!
