I bought it! for my master's studies
AI 7 350 is better than Intel Luna Lake 258V in multi-core
258V GPU(Arc 140V) is slightly better than Radeon 860M in some game
Its screen only has 300nits & 62.5% sRGB, if you're looking for a decent screen, it one is not you should be looking for
but better than Acer Aspire AI 258V's(on costco) screen only 55% sRGB
I am not a "Gamer" so it works for me
Also at the 700 price point, I don't think there's much to complain about — at least on paper.
I think this is the cheapest one I've seen with the newest gen AMD or Intel mid-range CPU & 32GB Ram!

Is this a good deal? Are the usual Costco benefits available on laptops (returns if needed)?

AMD Chip has good battery life. Much more efficient than Intel chip.

Which one is better? this one or https://www.costco.com/asus-vivob...08890.html. $300 price difference is okay if I can use the laptop for 3 - 4 years. I spent $2,500 on Lenovo P53 laptop 4 years back and it is very bad now wrt performance, most programs are hanging so decided to replace the laptop every 3 years.

Appreciate any inputs

this is a really solid laptop....you can save quite a bit by going with this other one, but half the ram and a slightly worse processor:

If you prefer games, this one is attractive, but again, half the RAM. It is upgradeable on both of these, though

Vivobook S 14 with AI 9 365 definitely is better
CPU is better, Screen is better(2.8K!), bigger battery (59 vs 75Wh), lighter in weight (if u don't mind a smaller screen size)
If u don't mind spending $300 more Vivobook S 14 will give u a better experience
