$600 is a good price unless you want to wrestle with some trips over nearby TJ maxxx or Marshalls. Save another $300 to step up the grinding game and you are good for a while lol.
I don't know how Breville hasn't been hit with a class action lawsuit. They seem to be using some kind of Teflon or nonstick coating on their group head and theirs plenty of people who've posted pictures of it wearing away. We all know to throw away nonstick pans when that happens but Breville has apparently said it's fine

I researched the $200-$1000 machines quite heavily. Breville came out way on top. This is the one is the route I went for the best value since it includes the grinder and many upgrades. The Bambino Plus is also a great value at $400 if you want to use a separate grinder.

For $400 I believe the infuser is a superior machine to the bambino. Bambino advantages being milk frother which I don't care about and it heats up much quicker

This model has the stepless Baratza burrs. No, not the best grinder in the world, but more than good enough to satisfy the vast majority of folks shopping at this price point.

If you just care about espresso, the Infuser is the better machine. It has a larger thermal coil heating system that retains heat better, and since its group head better integrated of the boiler, it can maintain better consistency during extraction. It also has adjustable pre-infusion vs fixed pre-infusion on the Bambino line.
But the Bambino and Bambino Plus's faster thermojet system heats up in just three seconds making it extremely fast for pulling a shot and steaming. Also switches back and forth between brewing and steaming much more quickly, and it's a faster, more powerful steamer. So, if you do a lot of steamed milk drinks, this might give the edge over the very slightly better espresso capability of the Infuser.
All that said, either will do both jobs well enough. We're kinda splitting hairs.

Not really. I have 1zpresso hand grinder. The Baratza label on this built in grinder cant help with the disappointment after i bought the Pro last year. Ended up returning it. At this price point, Bambino + DF54 would easily dominate this jack of all trade machine.
