You'd have to wait longer to get it, but for $50 more you can get Elegoo's new Centauri Carbon. I've been extremely impressed with the print quality and bed adhesion with them. Better adhesion than my Bambu X1C's
For anyone who is wondering this is the Creality K1 without the enclosure or fans mounted, it also has a different hotend and nozzle. If you are not down to tinker and figure why it isn't printing right off the bat, you shouldn't buy a Creality printer. I have 3 Creality printers, they all adjustments and bed leveling to run every so often.
I don't have any first hand experience with this printer and I'm not sure in what ways, absent the enclosure, it's different than the other members of the K1 family. That said, I'm not sure what advantages this has over the Flashforge 5M other than a slightly taller build volume. I would pick the 5M over this both because it's cheaper and I have a year's with of good experience with my 5M. I guess this is more open source but that's not really something I've messed with.
A friend has the k1c and I have the centauri carbon both great printers however the smaller build volume on this sucks. You'll quickly find out what I mean when you go to printables or maker world and see that all the larger models don't fit on this build plate. He has to constantly cut or scale down models.
I got the ender 3 v3 se which came out around the same time as this one. I had to make upgrades. Silicone bed risers, linear rails, z axis support bars. Once I did all that this thing prints so smooth it's unbelievable and with auto leveling I never have to mess with anything.Creality printers do require some tinkering, but the cost savings was real. Just know you have to do some tinkering.
