This lock can be rekeyed but the pin spacing on the U100 is slightly different from standard Schlage keys, causing the pins to not align perfectly. So you will have to carry a separate key for this.

Not been super happy with mine. The fingerprint reader doesn't work very well and as the battery life decreases it gets worse with actually opening the lock.

I have a Yale keyless lock. I thought I was cool until it locked me out of my house (thankfully I could get in through the garage). Keyless locks are the dumbest idea ever. Nobody is actually walking around picking locks to get into your house. Do yourself a favor and just get one that has a keyhole as backup..

The idea of these is not about security or being able to be picked. It's accessibility and convenience. Give your friend or contractor a code to get into the house. Ask Alexa to lock the doors at night. Etc

There are manual ways to get in outside of the "smart" features. If you were locked out, chances are it was too smart for you. Wink

If one is in the iPhone ecosystem, why would you buy this over a lock that offers Apple home key? Genuinely curious as I am in the market for a smart lock.

There is a cover that slides down to reveal a normal keyhole. It's not a keyless lock.
