Nope, did some digging in the terms:

Offer is not eligible for the purchase of software subscriptions, gift cards, digital video games or memberships.

I like the thought though

FYI if you have a gift card applied to your Netflix account then you aren't able to pause your membership until the gift card is exhausted.

Last I checked, you cannot pause a subscription if you have a balance. So Netflix GCs are never a good deal for people who subscribe only for a single month to watch something and then cancel.

Oh nice. I was hoping someone would chime in with their experience. So it seems that gift card purchases work for the base 5% but not bonus % when they're offered. Good to know.
