I opted for the used R4 instead (same extra discount). This will eventually (supposedly) work with their jammer. The arrows on the r7 are a nice touch though
Hey couple of questions to the SD group:
- I remember the good old days of buying radar detectors. But are they really needed now days? Is this really effective against laser - I mean I thought laser can target you a mile plus away - and they point at flat surfaces (i.e. license plates).
- For radar - they usually wait for you to turn around the corner and then zap you - police never leave their radar on anymore. Now I'm talking about the gun radars - but I believe they now have them mounted on the car itself - so maybe running all the time.
- Aren't most police using laser 100%. Isn't radar kind of dead?
- This says rear facing as well - so the rear facing radar has to be very bad - right?
- What is the GPS used for - can this reference a reporting site (like Wayz) and alert you to possible cop cars ahead of time?
- Do you guys also use Wayz for the reporting function and alerts along your route?
Just wanted to know today's radar detectors needs and performance.
Thanks
